The ferry 'Whatcom Chief' is intimate and friendly, holding only about 20 cars at a time. There is a schedule, but the Captain will usually add more crossings if cars are still waiting. You can also walk across, if you like - the Flying Fish is only minutes by foot from the ferry dock.
